+------------------------------------------------------------+ | Doris Listserver | | (Delft Object-oriented Radar Interferometric software) | | | +------------------------------------------------------------+ Dear Doris users, As announced we created a (matlab) script to transform ESA DOR_VOR files with Envisat orbit parameters to Getorb ODR files. A new version of Getorb (Getorb_v2.3.2) is especially created to enable the use of these new ODR files. Many thanks to Eelco Doornbos of DEOS for creating this new version. The procedure to obtain the new ODR files is as follows: 1. Download and install the new version of getorb: http://www.deos.tudelft.nl/ers/precorbs/tools/getorb_pack.shtml 2. Send an email to the ESA helpdesk (EOHELP@ESA.INT) to request a user account to access the DOR_VOR orbits. 3. Download the orbits (vor directory) in one directory (!) (Sorry, the script is not very advanced). 4. Download the matlab script: http://enterprise.lr.tudelft.nl/doris/software/dorvor_to_odr.m 4. Create an inputfile (ascii) with the filenames of the DOR_VOR orbits, e.g., 'ls > inputfile' 5. Run the matlab script, e.g., dorvor_to_odr('inputfile') An ODR.* file per month will be created, as well as an arclist. You can put these files in a new directory in your orbit path. Unfortunately, the DOR_VOR file of 23 July 2008 is corrupted/has missing lines. Therefore the ODR file of July 2008 is not working. I send an email to the ESA helpdesk to ask whether this problem can be solved. There are also preliminary orbits available on the same download site (DOR_POR, por directory). We did not test the script on these orbits, but you could give it a try. The original DOR_VOR files contain orbit information of about one day. The matlab script stitches these original files together to one month ODR files. Delft Institute of Earth Observation and Space Systems (DEOS), Delft University of Technology, is not responsible for damage of any kind caused by this script. This solution to use DORVOR orbits within Doris does not mean that the DEOS orbits will not be updated anymore. We will inform you in case there are any developments.
